Programs

The Durham Literacy Center has three main programs:

Adult Literacy

Designed to empower people everyday through a student-centered approach to learning with a focus on reading and writing skills.

Designed to equip adult immigrants with the English language skills needed to live well and share in the best of Durham.

Designed to help teenage students who have dropped out of high school obtain their GED and pursue post-secondary education.

Students are awarded Certificates of Achievement
at DLC's Spring Celebration in June 2006.

Lakewood Baptist Church (LWB): Mon-Thurs: 9am-12pm, 4:30-8:30pm
