Adult Literacy Volunteers

Who: Adult students with a variety of goals; learning to read for the first time,
improving their reading ability, helping their children/grandchildren
with homework, understanding more about their jobs or preparing for a
GED program.
What: Students and tutors working once or twice per week to reach individual goals.
When: Monday-Thursday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
Minimum commitment: One and a half hours twice per week. (GED class-once a week)
Where: Durham County Libraries and Lakewood Baptist Church
How: Attend an orientation and sign up for Tutor Training there. (*If you want to tutor for GED for Fall 2008 - call 323-0902)
Please attend ONE orientation from 6-7pm:
